Erin Pereira, PT, DPT, is a physical therapist and athletic trainer at Athletico Physical Therapy in the western suburbs of Chicago. She has over 9 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy and has previous experience as an intern in hospital-based and neurological physical therapy.
Dr. Pereira focuses on patients with musculoskeletal conditions including sports and work injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. As an athletic trainer, she has extensive experience caring for athletes of many sports and skill levels. She specializes in endurance and overhead-throwing athletes.
She has partnered with local physicians to provide medical support at local races including the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. She is also a community educator and regularly gives lectures about running and throwing athletes to local organizations.
Education
Dr. Pereira attended Clarke University and earned both a bachelor of science in athletic training and a doctor of physical therapy degree. She served as the co-president of the student physical therapist organization. Dr. Pereira completed her orthopedic physical therapy residency with evidence in motion and is certified in Graston Technique.
