The Titan Bench By the Numbers

When it comes to benches, there are a few key specs that really matter:

Build Quality & Materials

Obviously, you want something sturdy and well-built that can handle heavy weights without issue. The Titan bench delivers here with an 11-gauge steel frame that’s literally welded together for ridiculous stability and rigidity. This bad boy has a 1,000 lb weight rating on the flat position!
But Titan didn’t cheap out on the padding either. We’re talking thick 2.5″ pads covered in their HeftyGrip vinyl for a comfortable, secure, non-slip surface during lifts.

Adjustability

This is where the Titan bench really shines. It gives you an insane 27 different positions to work with by adjusting the 9 back pad angles (from flat to 85 degrees) and the 3 seat pad angles.

Think about it – you can go from a flat bench to a steep incline to target those upper pecs and shoulders…or anything in between. The adjustments make it super versatile for hitting different muscle groups.

Size & Portability

It’s a full-sized bench at 56.5″ long and just under 25″ wide, but what’s great is that it has wheels and a knurled handle to easily move it around your gym.
Even better, you can store it upright to save space when not in use. Little touches like the UHMW plastic stopper show Titan really thought this design through.

Value

And here’s the kicker – even with overbuilt construction and loaded adjustability, the Titan Series bench costs just $290–$320! That makes it one of the best value purchases in the adjustable bench game, undercutting the competition considerably.

Putting the Titan Bench Through Its Paces

Enough about the ordering and assembly though. The real test is how this adjustable bench actually performs for different exercises in your workout routine. We’ve been using the Titan bench for several weeks now across all my strength training days, so let me give you the full rundown:

Flat Bench Pressing

This is the bread and butter for most lifters. From the moment we loaded up the bench with plates and got situated, we could feel how planted and stable the Titan bench was. Zero rocking or shifting, even when we really drove into the pad on rep max sets.
The thick padding and grippy HeftyGrip vinyl top provide excellent traction and support too. My only gripe is the 1.5″ pad gap between the backrest and seat – more on that later.

Incline Work

Whether incline bench press for the chest or incline curls for the biceps, being able to smoothly adjust the back pad angle is a game-changer. The ladder adjustment system operates smoothly to click into any of the 9 incline levels from 15° all the way up to an extreme 85° angle.

We actually really appreciate having such a wide range of incline positions to choose from. You can really get specific about targeting different areas.
The back pad and seat pad are also plenty long enough for me to get a full leg drive and a strong base. No issues with my foot position or having to crunch up.

Rows, Accessories, Etc.

Don’t overlook the fact that an adjustable bench opens up a ton of exercise options beyond just pressing movements. I’ve used mine for single-arm rows, ab crunches, lying triceps extensions – you name it.

Having the ability to work at different angles is so versatile. The Titan bench is seriously a great central piece for a minimalist home gym setup.

Where the Titan Bench Really Shines

Look, we could keep going on and on about the specific exercises, but we think you get the point – this adjustable bench handles everything we can throw at it with ease. But there are a few key areas where the Titan Series bench really shines:

Space-Saving

Design we know a lot of you are working with limited space for your home gym. That’s why Titan’s design to allow upright storage is so clutch. With the rubber stops on the back pad, we can just tilt the bench vertically and it has a tiny 2.9 sq ft footprint when stored. Major space-saver!

Easy Adjustability

The numbered ladder system makes it so simple to quickly adjust the back pad and seat to whatever angle we need for the next exercise. Just pull the knobs, slide to your desired position, and you’re locked in tight.

Those red anodized knobs are a nice tough too. Gives it a premium look and feel when making adjustments.

Portable Yet Sturdy

At 120 lbs, this bench isn’t light by any means. But the built-in wheels and knurled stainless steel handle allow you to easily move it around your gym with ease.
And once you set it down, there’s zero shakiness or wobbling. The welded steel frame is planted thanks to those wider rubber feet.

Attention to Detail

We appreciate the little design flourishes Titan incorporates, like the laser-cut logo and the metal plastic guides on the adjustment rails. It’s clear they put thought into both the function and form of this bench.

It all adds up to give it a premium, cohesive look beyond just being a basic black steel bench. The aesthetics are on point.

Minimal Cons to Consider

While the Titan TITAN Series Adjustable Bench is a great option, there are a few things to keep in mind before you buy:

Not a Full FID Bench

This bench offers incline and flat positions but it doesn’t have decline angles. If you’re looking for a bench that allows for decline exercises, you might want to consider another option, like a full FID (Flat, Incline, Decline) bench.

Pad Gap/Hinge Potential Discomfort

The gap between the seat and the back pad is about 1.5 inches, which is fairly standard. However, there’s a hinge at this point that might be felt during flat bench presses.

It shouldn’t be a dealbreaker for most people, but it’s something to be aware of, especially if you have sensitive shoulders. The good news is that the back pad is long enough that you can position yourself entirely on it during flat presses, avoiding the hinge altogether.

Limited Color Options

If you’re looking for a bench with a pop of color to match your home gym aesthetic, this might not be the one for you. Currently, it only comes in black with red knobs.

Shorter Warranty

The Titan TITAN Series Adjustable Bench comes with a one-year warranty. While this is standard for some equipment, other benches might offer longer warranties.

Is The Titan TITAN Series Adjustable Bench Worth It?

The Titan Fitness Single Post Adjustable FID Bench presents a compelling option for home gym enthusiasts seeking excellent value. This adjustable bench boasts features and stability comparable to pricier high-end models from Rogue and REP Fitness. Notably, the Titan bench comes in at a significantly lower price point, often exceeding $100 in savings.

However, it’s important to consider your needs. This bench lacks decline functionality, which some exercises may require. If decline exercises are a priority, the REP AB-5200 2.0 might be a better fit. Additionally, those seeking American-made equipment may prefer the Rogue bench.

For those prioritizing value and functionality without decline or specific origin requirements, the Titan Fitness Single Post Adjustable FID Bench emerges as a strong contender in the market.

Customer Experience

Currently, there are no reviews on the Titan Fitness website, but on Amazon, customers rate this product at 4.0 out of 5 stars, praising its quality. This bench is very stable and well made. “Well worth the money and comparable in form and function to higher priced brands like Rogue,” says Thomas.

However, Leon points out the poor quality control as “the bench not weld properly”. We will continue to update as more reviews come in, providing insights into the bench’s performance and durability.

Ordering and Getting it Home

So after all my research, we finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Titan Series Adjustable Bench directly from their website. The ordering process was straightforward and we opted for the free shipping since we are in no huge rush.

A week or so later, my big heavy boxed up bench arrived without any shipping damage. That’s always a relief when you order larger pieces of equipment online. we’ve heard horror stories of barbells and racks showing up bent or scratched to hell.

But Titan packaged this bench up really well. The box tipped the scales at 120 lbs, but it has handholds on the sides so we could actually manage to get it into my garage gym space.

Assembly? Barely Any!

One of the best things about this bench is how little assembly is required. Titan clearly wants to make the setup process painless. The majority of the bench frame comes pre-assembled out of the box.

All we really had to do was attach the back leg, seat pad, back pad, and wheels. Maybe 10-15 minutes tops using the basic tools included. We’ve put together far more complicated Ikea furniture before!

No annoying hardware packages or a million confusing steps. Just a few bolts and you’re ready to start lifting. Gotta appreciate it when a company makes it easy like that.

conclusionConclusion

So, after putting the Titan TITAN Series Adjustable Bench through its paces, here’s what we really think:

Exceptional Value for the Money

Let’s be honest, good quality gym equipment can be expensive. This bench, however, delivers exceptional value. You’re getting a very well-built, stable bench with a comfortable pad and plenty of adjustment options, all at a price that won’t break the bank.

This bench goes toe-to-toe with, and even surpasses, some competitors that cost significantly more. Its sturdy build and high weight capacity make it perfect for serious lifters, while its user-friendly adjustments make it great for beginners too.

Perfect for Adjustable Bench Seekers

If you’re looking for an adjustable bench that allows you to perform a variety of exercises without spending a fortune, this is a fantastic option. It offers all the core functionality you need for a great workout.

Suits me…. Great home gym setup

Jerry Trump

I grabbed this bench for my home gym setup. It’s a breeze to put together and tweak the height. As a newbie and a shorty, it’s just what I needed. Heads up though – if you’re on the taller side, you might find it a bit cramped when you’re lying down to lift.
